Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the permitted and prohibited uses of the EEv3 platform and related services provided by VertexStudio, Inc. This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service.

Permitted Use

The EEv3 platform is designed for building and operating legitimate software applications, APIs, and digital services. You may use the platform to:

• Develop, test, and deploy web applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Store, process, and retrieve data in accordance with applicable laws and your agreements with end users.
• Use all EEv3 capabilities and faces within the rate limits and quotas of your plan.
• Integrate third-party services through the platform's connector and webhook infrastructure.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use the EEv3 platform for any of the following activities:

• Illegal activities: any use that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.
• Abuse and harassment: distributing content that threatens, harasses, defames, or promotes violence against any person or group.
• Malware and exploits: distributing viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other malicious software; exploiting platform vulnerabilities.
• Spam and unsolicited messaging: sending bulk unsolicited emails, messages, or notifications through EEv3 messaging capabilities.
• DDoS and network attacks: launching denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, or network probing against any system, including the EEv3 platform itself.
• Cryptocurrency mining: using platform compute resources for mining cryptocurrency or proof-of-work operations.
• Illegal content: hosting, storing, or distributing child sexual abuse material, content that infringes intellectual property rights, or any other illegal content.
• Credential abuse: phishing, credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, or unauthorized access attempts against any system.
• Circumventing controls: bypassing rate limits, authentication controls, usage quotas, or other platform safeguards.
• Resale without authorization: reselling EEv3 services or access to your entity without prior written approval from VertexStudio.

Resource Limits

Each plan includes defined resource limits for API calls, storage, compute time, and bandwidth. These limits are detailed on the Pricing page. Exceeding your plan's limits may result in overage charges, throttling, or temporary suspension of service. We will notify you before taking action where feasible.

Monitoring

We monitor platform usage to ensure compliance with this AUP, detect abuse, and maintain service quality. Monitoring includes automated analysis of traffic patterns, API usage metrics, and resource consumption. We do not monitor the content of your Customer Data except as required to enforce this AUP or respond to legal obligations.

Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in one or more of the following actions, at our sole discretion:

• A written warning with a specified period to remedy the violation.
• Temporary suspension of specific capabilities or your entire entity.
• Rate limiting or throttling of your API access.
• Permanent termination of your account without refund.
• Reporting to law enforcement authorities where required or appropriate.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the platform, other users, or comply with legal obligations.

Reporting

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@vertexstudio.dev. We investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action. You may also report security vulnerabilities through our responsible disclosure program at security@vertexstudio.dev.
