The Conductor
One endpoint
to rule them all.
Every capability, one call. The conductor receives your intent, resolves the right capability, balances the load, and returns a typed response — all behind a single POST /do endpoint.

Request Anatomy
Three fields. That's it.
Every request to the conductor follows the same shape: a face that identifies the SDK surface, an action that names the operation, and a payload with the data.
Request
POST /do HTTP/1.1
Authorization: Bearer ee_sk_...
Content-Type: application/json
{
"face": "ai",
"action": "generate",
"payload": {
"model": "claude-3.5-sonnet",
"prompt": "Summarize this document",
"max_tokens": 1024,
"stream": false
}
}face
The SDK surface area — ai, storage, auth, billing, etc. Maps 1:1 with the TypeScript SDK namespace.
action
The operation to perform — generate, put, query, createUser. Each face exposes its own set of typed actions.
payload
The action-specific data. Fully typed via the SDK, validated at the conductor layer before routing. Invalid payloads return structured errors with field-level detail.
Routing
Intelligent dispatch. Zero config.
The conductor doesn't just forward requests. It resolves the optimal execution path based on capability availability, region affinity, and current load.
Validate
Schema validation against face+action type definitions. Invalid requests fail fast with structured errors.
Resolve
Capability matching: the conductor maps face+action to the correct internal service with version awareness.
Balance
Load-aware routing across regions and replicas. Hot paths get dedicated capacity. Cold starts are pre-warmed.
Execute
Request dispatched with automatic retry, circuit-breaking, and fallback to secondary providers on failure.
Response Envelope
Predictable responses. Always.
Every response follows the same envelope — whether it's an AI generation, a database query, or a billing charge. Your code handles one shape.
// Success response

}In Practice
SDK call to response in four lines.
import { ee } from "@vertebase/sdk";
// The SDK wraps /do — every call is typed end-to-end
const { data } = await ee.ai.generate({
model: "claude-3.5-sonnet",
prompt: "Summarize this document",
max_tokens: 1024,
});
console.log(data.text);
// => "Here is the summary of your document..."See what it can route.
