CLI Reference

Scaffold. Deploy. Manage. All from the terminal.

The EEv3 CLI gives you full control over your projects, deployments, tokens, and logs — without leaving the terminal.

Install

terminal
$ npm install -g @evileye/cli

ee init

Scaffold a new EEv3 project with TypeScript config, SDK setup, and directory structure.

Syntax

ee init [project-name] [--template <template>]

Flags

--template <name> Starter template (default, api, fullstack, minimal)

--no-git Skip git initialization

--package-manager Use npm, yarn, or pnpm (auto-detected)

ee dev

Start a local development server with hot reload, SDK proxy, and sandbox mode.

Syntax

ee dev [--port <port>] [--open]

Flags

--port <number> Dev server port (default: 3000)

--open Open browser on start

--no-proxy Disable local SDK proxy

ee deploy

Deploy your project to EEv3 hosting. Builds, optimises, and pushes to the edge.

Syntax

ee deploy [--env <environment>] [--force]

Flags

--env <name> Target environment (staging, production)

--force Skip confirmation prompt

--no-build Deploy without rebuilding

ee faces

List all available face modules with method counts and descriptions.

Syntax

ee faces [--filter <pattern>] [--json]

Flags

--filter <text> Filter faces by name or category

--json Output as JSON

--methods Show all methods for each face

ee generate

Generate TypeScript types from your entity schema and face configurations.

Syntax

ee generate [--output <path>] [--watch]

Flags

--output <path> Output directory (default: src/generated)

--watch Re-generate on schema changes

--faces <list> Only generate types for specific faces

ee logs

Tail production logs in real-time with filtering and search.

Syntax

ee logs [--face <face>] [--level <level>] [--since <time>]

Flags

--face <name> Filter by face module

--level <level> Filter by log level (info, warn, error)

--since <time> Show logs since (1h, 30m, 2024-01-01)

--follow Stream new logs in real-time

Check the operational status of all EEv3 services and your entity.

Syntax

ee status [--json] [--watch]

--json Output as JSON

--watch Refresh every 30 seconds

ee token create

Create a new scoped API token from the terminal.

Syntax

ee token create [--face <face>] [--expires <duration>]

Flags

--face <name> Scope to a specific face (repeatable)

--expires <time> Token expiry (30d, 90d, 1y, never)

--name <label> Human-readable label for the token
