Quickstart
5 minutes to your first call.
From zero to a fully typed API call in 6 steps. No boilerplate, no config files, no infrastructure setup.
Prerequisites
You need Node.js 18+ and TypeScript 5+ installed. You also need an EEv3 API key — get one from your entity dashboard or contact us for access.
Install the SDK
Add the SDK to your project with a single install command.
$ npm install @evileye/sdkCreate the client
Initialise the SDK with your token and entity identifier. This client is your entry point to all 42 faces.
// src/lib/ee.ts
import { createClient } from '@evileye/sdk'
export const ee = createClient({
token: process.env.EE_TOKEN!,
entity: 'my-company',
})Make your first call
Call ee.ai.generate with a prompt. The response is fully typed — autocomplete shows every field.
// src/app.ts
import { ee } from './lib/ee'
const result = await ee.ai.generate({
model: 'claude-sonnet-4-20250514',
prompt: 'What is the capital of France?',
})
console.log(result.text)
// => "The capital of France is Paris."Check the response
The result object is typed end-to-end. Every field has IntelliSense support in your editor.
{
text: "The capital of France is Paris.",
model: "claude-sonnet-4-20250514",
tokens_used: 24,
finish_reason: "stop"
}Try another face
Switch to a completely different domain — storage — with the same client. No extra config, no extra imports.
// Try another face — storage
const file = await ee.storage.put({
key: 'reports/q3-summary.pdf',
body: pdfBuffer,
contentType: 'application/pdf',
access: 'private',
})
console.log(file.url)
// => "https://cdn.evileye.dev/my-company/reports/q3-summary.pdf"
console.log(file.size)
// => 245_760
